Chef Shanour, a passionate explorer of food, began working with raw cacao and chocolates in 2013. He created the renowned Glow-Bar ~ the first praline bar ~  while helping many other brands with their cacao and chocolate products.

In 2022, The Heart of Cacao was founded when Shanour's partner Laila joined him in the cacao journey. Together, they make bean-to-bar chocolates and cacao drinks to bring the high quality and rich flavor of the cacao bean to their customers.

They carefully produce their products in small batches from whole beans and have complete control of the cacao-making process at their chocolate studio in Amsterdam. Only organic cacao is used, sourced from small family farms in Haiti, Ecuador, Peru, Uganda, Brazil, and Nicaragua. With dedication and passion, they bring the high quality and rich flavor of the amazing cacao bean to you.
